"It always starts as a meditation, a connection found in stillness, an embrace, awe and reverence for nature and life force."

I allow myself to be guided intuitively, peeling back veils, uncovering pattern, texture, color and form encouraging the viewer to connect to nature with reverence and find it’s healing energies. My work blurs the lines between fine and decorative art, abstraction and illustration, like a dance flowing, capturing a moment, a mood, a memory.

As a Visual Arts educator for 38 years, I use Mindfulness and Yoga to  find focus and empowerment. It always begins as a meditation and a deep connection found in stillness,  and reverence for nature and life force.

“What an incredible experience to walk and meditate at Rocknest as the spring approaches.The workshop session started off with grounding meditations as we walked through the woods, senses awakened. Opening our Heart and Sacral Chakras with wonderful movements, walking and reflecting. What a gift to be in the woods and focus on our intentions! When the walking meditation concluded, we continued the workshop in the comfort of Rock Nest Studio where we created jewelry made of stone beads chosen to energetically support the Heart and Sacral chakra and open the seasons energetic Meridian pathways. I had come to this session with the intention of balancing my Sacral Chakra and left with a beaded piece long enough to go around my hips, or wrap for a necklace to carry with me to keep me balanced. After our wonderful jewelry was finished, Alize lead me through a seated meditation she created especially for my needs.
